After former Australian captain Ricky Ponting, former Zimbabwean cricketer and coach Andy Flower also refused to coach the Indian cricket team. The Indian Cricket Board is looking for a new coach these days, and in this regard, Ricky Ponting was approached for coaching during the IPL, but the former Australian captain refused to coach the Indian cricket team.

According to media reports, Andy Flower was being considered as a candidate for coaching the Indian cricket team; however, while confirming this, Andy Flower said that he does not intend to work as the head coach of the Indian team. According to the Indian media, 56-year-old Andy Flower says that I have not applied for the coaching of the Indian team and I will not apply; for now, I am happy to join the franchise game.

It should be noted that Andy Flower was the head coach of Multan Sultans in the ninth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), while in the Indian Premier League (IPL), he is handling the responsibilities of the coach of Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
