In the Indian Premier League (IPL), another world record for T20 cricket has been set. On Friday, IPL team Punjab Kings set the record for the most successful run chase in T20 cricket against Kolkata Knight Riders. In the match played at Eden Gardens, the Punjab Kings won the toss and decided to field. Kolkata set up a mountain-like target of 262 runs in the allotted twenty overs while batting.

On behalf of the Kolkata Knight Riders, Phil Salt scored 75 off 37 balls, and Sunil Narine scored 71 runs off 32 balls. In pursuit of the target of two hundred and sixty-two runs, the Punjab Kings batted wildly and easily achieved the required target in the nineteenth over at the loss of two wickets, setting a world record.

On behalf of the Punjab Kings, Jonny Bearstow played an unbeaten innings of 180 runs off 48 balls, while he was supported by Dyashshank Singh, who scored 68 runs off 28 balls. For the first time in the history of T20 cricket, the target of more than 260 was crossed.
